Sri Muppidi
I'm a reporter covering startups and venture capital at The Information. I regularly write about the inner workings of Silicon Valley, including shifts in investor behavior, large funding rounds, and emerging AI trends. I previously reported on tech and business at The Economist and Business Insider.
In 2025, I was part of two teams that won Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW) Best in Business awards in the small publishing division. My reporting on retail investors clamoring for SPVs (Investing/Markets category) and on TikTok’s content moderation changes (Technology category) was part of the award-winning coverage. Additionally, I was an early-stage VC investor at Emerson Collective and Sierra Ventures and a researcher for former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster. I hold both a BA in Economics and an MS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, where I was a Threshold Ventures Fellow. I'm always interested in hearing from founders, investors, and others in the tech world. I'm happy to explain what it means to talk to a reporter confidentially.
